We answer the most frequently asked questions about Yummy Dough here.

  • What can I do with Yummy Dough?
  • Yummy Dough is the recipe against boredom! The smooth, kneadable modelling dough can be shaped perfectly into figures and shapes. The baked goods can be eaten immediately after being baked or can be used as a small present. There are plenty of occasions on which it can be used such as: Halloween, Christmas, Birthday Parties, and Easter, Mother ’s Day or in the meantime.

  • What can I do when Yummy Dough is too crumbly after preparing it?
  • The dough is in the beginning very, very crumbly because you should only add 15ml of water when preparing a portion of Yummy Dough. This is normal. It is best to stir with a spoon first until you have a lot of small crumbly pieces and only then should you knead it with your hands.

The longer the dough is being kneaded (about 1 to 2 minutes), the smoother will the Yummy Dough be.

  • What can I do when Yummy Dough is too sticky?
  • If Yummy Dough sticks to your hands, too much water was added. With a little bit of fine flour you will be able to fix it.

  • Can I mix the colours?
  • Yes, the colours can be mixed. Simply mix small portions of different colours with each other. We show you how it works here.

  • How long can I store the unbaked Yummy Dough?
  • Already prepared, but not yet baked Yummy Dough should be kept in saran wrap or should be covered in the fridge. It should be baked however, within the next 2 to 3 days.

  • How long can I keep the baked figures?
  • If you don’t want to eat the baked Yummy Dough figures yet it is best to store them in a cookie jar. This way they stay fresh for a few days. Figures that are intended for decoration or jewellery simply stay a little bit longer in the oven so that they are completely baked and hard.

  • How long do you have to bake the figures?
  • The baking time always depends on the size and thickness of the figures. We recommend baking the thin and cut out shapes only for approx. 10 minutes. Round, thick shapes need a little bit longer and can stay 15 to 20 minutes in the oven.

Please take the characteristics of your own oven into consideration.

Together with older kids and/or adults even the youngest ones can play an active role in producing these baked goods. Yummy Dough can also be eaten raw it therefore doesn’t matter if pieces of it disappear into their mouths during the kneading and baking. We recommend Yummy Dough for children older than 3 years.

  • How many kids can play with one package of Yummy Dough?
  • You can create an entire baking sheet full of figures with one package. This amount is enough for 2 to 3 kids, depending on the age.
